When the 6th Hour Bell Rings

I grudgingly walk towards my geometry class, every day. Well, except Wednesdays. Nevertheless, there is always the same feeling. "Wow! I'm having such a great day! Oh... math." I suddenly start to feel extremely dejected. There is nothing I can do but fake a grin. Math one of those things that discourages me from my dream of becoming a super hero. It's definitely my kryptonite.

Just to make me feel better, the school decided that they would put me in a class of people who are just as dumb as me and no friends. On the first day of school I decided that I would dissociate myself with the others. Instead of selecting one of the many desks in the class, I sat myself at a table designed for grading papers on the far edge of the room. It has been my designated spot since then. I don't care that the prissy blondes and pot-heads look at my like a loner. In fact, I prefer it.

As soon as I walk in the classroom my smile is wiped from my face and I get the feeling of defeat instantly. I plop down at my paper grading table and put in my headphones. I silently do my work, or at least try.

"Hello, math paper. Prepare to meet your maker!" I say in my head.
It replies "If the square root of x(y)lmnop 3243987 is seventy twenty 6.5^7 times q is 48539475839p, how many apples does Johnny have?"
"That's it! D:< ENOUGH OF YOUR MIND TRICKS!"

Math always wins the arguments :(

I'm Such a Bad Blogger

My intentions are there, I just don't have time. I'll blame it on my busy schedule.

But, hey! Brief life update!

-If my life plan works out the way I want it to, I will have my license in July. That's definitely something to mention.
-I signed up for my Junior classes!
-I am planning to blog more. If I can. Which I probably won't.

Okay. Well... Bye. Enjoy life and don't smoke :)

All-District Honors Choir

Yesterday was so much fun. I participated in a district choir. 350 people auditioned, 150 people were accepted. That is approximately 42% of everone who auditioned. I JUST DID MATH.

So I woke up at 5:30am and went to bed at 10pm. I stood on my feet the entire time. My back and feet ACHED. Also, my right arm is very very very sore from holding my music. Wow, that's pretty pathetic. That was my complaining part of this entry. Okay, done with that.

It was super fun. I had been working on these challenging songs for weeks. Whether they were in some weird Latin language or had trcky timing and notes, I took the challenge and studied the music dilligently with my teacher and on my own. Our clinician showed up the day of the concert. How awesome would it be to direct a concert with a bunch of talented kids who already knew their music? I believe it would be very awesome.

Fun day. Fun, long day.

Which Should I Read!?

In my Honors English II class, we have a choice of books to read in our literature circles every month or so. This month I am stuck between two, and I need YOUR help!

The DaVinci Code and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest are piquing my interest. Should I go for the easy read and something I've always been curious about and go for The DaVinci Code? Or, should I challenge myself to a slow-paced classic?

Vote now :)

**Note- Keep in mind that there are movies for both. If you have seen either of them and suggest that I should read the book instead, feel free to tell me!
